About Us
At Hôpital Vétérinaire Général, it is our philosophy to act as advocates for every pet we take care of. We offer a personalized and caring service for each companion we are lucky enough to meet. Our goal is to assist you, the owner, in making health care decisions which offer the best possible outcomes for your pet. Compassion, kindness, and putting the furry population first are what we are all about.
A Note from the Founder, Owner, and Main Veterinarian at Hôpital Vétérinaire Général:
‘‘ I opened this practice back in 1987 because since my childhood, I’ve always wanted to help animals. I feel that they are treated as second class citizens instead of having the same opportunities that humans have for their overall health and well-being. On top of this, I’ve continually wanted to do my part to end all suffering of animals. I am happy to be a strong advocate for animal rights, and to be able to continue educating our community in regards to how vital it is to prevent health issues before they arise. No pet has a voice, despite how we, who are connected to our pets, feel we can understand what their meows and woofs mean. So, it is up to us to speak up for them, and give them the chance to thrive in a happy, healthy environment.
My goal is for the hospital to become a vital part of our community, a friendly, comfortable place where pets can come by to receive cookies, and where owners can have a coffee while discussing the health of their pet. I believe that over the years, with thousands of smiling clients, dogs wagging their tails, and cats deeply purring, that we’ve established our spot here in Montreal. We are still welcoming new patients, and would be delighted to meet you and your adorable companion to show you that their paws will be in good hands with us. ”
